|Michael F. “Seatrain” Curley, 50, of 14 View St., died Tuesday, June 21, at HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster, after being stricken ill.|
He was born on Nov. 29, 1954, in Leominster, the son of the late John J. Curley Jr. and Jane (O’Toole) Curley, and lived in Leominster all of his life.
Mr. Curley was a 1973 graduate of Leominster High School and played football there. He was a 1978 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he received his bachelor’s degree in history. He was a member of the Beta Kappa Phi Fraternity at UMass.
He was a coach for Leominster Pop Warner Football League, was a member of St. Leo’s Church and was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He leaves his wife, Constance A. (Culley) Curley; two sons, Mark and Michael Curley, both of Leominster; one daughter, Rebecca Curley of Leominster; one granddaughter, Caiya Curley-White of Leominster; two brothers, Atty. John J. Curley III and Daniel P. Curley, both of Leominster; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The funeral was held from Curley-Marchand Funeral Home with a Mass in St. Leo’s Church. Burial followed in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours were held in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to: The Michael F. Curley Football Scholarship Fund or The Doyle Field Renovation Fund, either in care of Chris Young, Leominster High School Athletic Director, 122 Granite St., Leominster, MA 01453; or may be left at the funeral home.
